We Are Hot Chicks Wednesday: Administrative Professionals Day

Once upon a time, the calendar makers of the world, having dotted all of their 'i's, and crossed all of their 't's, could lay back and watch the profits roll in like clockwork. And life was good. Then, at some time circa the early-to-mid 1990s, things changed, and it was time to get back to work. The date-deeming powers that be got together -- likely in a stuffy convention room in downtown Annapolis -- and decided that it was unfair that Canadian holidays had been left out. So now, all of our monthly pages with squares and numbers on them, all of our week-in-view planner pages include Arbor Day, and Cinco de Mayo, and Victoria Day, and Boxing Day, and National St. Jeane the Baptist Day, and all of the other celebratory occasions that our neighbors to the north observe. But alas, the work was once again complete. Complete, that is, until it was decided -- this time in a smarmy hotel on the outskirts of Albany -- that certain terminologies were inaccurate, or to be more blunt, unfair. And so it was that days like Secretary's Day were swiped from the pages, replaced with more prudent words like Administrative Professionals Day. And I, for one, find the times, said changes in effect, much more joyous; the world is most definitely a better place in which to live. Therefore, the House of Georges has created this celebratory post, one in which we aim to applaud the professional administrators of today. Do join us, by jumping ahead.

Victoria Vannucci

Miss Vannucci, seen her enjoying her paid Administrative Professionals day off, enjoys some sun, with a touch of breeze.

It's a nice change of pace, given that her office work usually takes place in a tight corner.

Kelly Brannigan

Miss Brannigan chose to spend the day working as usual.

She professionally administrates her opinions regarding home decor,

her specialty centering on household comfort areas.

Gabrielle Vidal

Gabrielle's professional area of expertise involves showing guests in for

banquets and receptions. She carefully administrates advice on how to get inside the facilities.

Nikki Mitchell

Nikki Mitchell administrates the lobby area of an urban hotel. She's very professional at checking guests in, and helping them gather their things.

Danni Woodward

Miss Woodward is a professional for the securities department of a high-demand conferencing building.

In the event that guests get out of hand, she's quick to administrate a leather-boot ass kicking.

April Scott

Miss Scott administrates sight-seeing tour guides.

She's handy if your needs involve professional visits to churches,

or even some wilderness expeditions.

Gemma Massey

Gemma administrates the ongoings of her household. Using her professional tone, she sets her family to work while she oversees the chores and activities.

Paxton Lane

The exotic Miss Lane professionally administrates advice to outdoor enthusiasts. She's quick to determine whether individuals can handle ultra-violet rays, or if they need some protection.

Stevie Scholes

Stevie Scholes is a professional when it comes to body piercing. She's the one to call when struggling between septum and navel jewelry.

Penny Mathis

Penny is a professional wardrobe administrator.

Her area of expertise lies in the realm of knowing exactly what accentuates each outfit.

That's the WAHCW for this week.

Thanks to the professionals and the guys that administrate this site.

Hey, livin' in Canada I don't have much access to NBA basketball. Does anyone have an update on the Nugget's series?

Uh, does Canada not have printed press and InterNets? Last I heard, the Nuggets were down 2-0, some of which was a result of some guy named Bryant. I thought that dude coached college football, and was dead.

I'm sure this is where you take the opportunity to note that Cleveland is up 2-0 over Washington. I'll go ahead and take the next step in the still-to-come-about debate, and say this: Lakers=pretty good; Wizards=yellow mound of Canadian snow.

Really ... the Nuggets down 2-0. That's just awful.

Cavs are rollin', just as they should be.

Celtics are makin' their run with solid balance once again. Will Paul and the boyz finally get a ring?

Cheers,
