We Are Hot Chicks Wednesday: Maximum Overdrive

Yeah. I know. Total freakin' bummer, right? What we learned from this little lesson is that the other guy does not operate motor vehicles with the same skill agility awareness as I do. Well, not in this instance, anyway. At least he has insurance. Or, at least they tell me that he does. Oh. And, at least I didn't get killed. Or take whatever kind of two-door sedan it was upside the rib cage. I might've missed the KU/UNC game. And let me tell you, I can be one mean-ass dead guy when I feel like it. Be-lieve it. Enough about that, though. I'm told there are more cars out there in the RealWorlds, and even on the InterWebs. You just have to look for 'em, which kind of sucks when you're lazy. Wait. Isn't that why there's valet? Isn't that where they bring 'em to you?

Well, either way I reckon it's doable. I'll get to it, after the jump, which is where I might just blow the doors off this here House of Georges. Or not. Come and see.

AJ Alexander

I think it's safe to say that those of us in the market for vehicular modules ought to do our best to avoid the AJ Alexanders out there. Otherwise, we'll only wind up buying ourselves a one-way ticket to Trouble City.

Alley Baggett

Once on the lot, give each ride the full staredown. It's imperative to like the looks of the thing before you crawl inside.

And take a liberty or three. No problem undoing and unfastening. Gotta make sure everything works.

Amanda Paige

It's also crucial to be able to feel casual in the seat.

Ashley Lynn

Safety features are key, too. Some insurance companies offer discounts on rides that have the auto/always-on headlights.

Janine Habeck

And I'm pretty sure that safety mechanism is available in both the light and the dark models.

Erica Chevalier

Clearance is also important. Like the lowriders? No problem. Just make sure there's enough space that the crucial goods on the underside don't get wet when traveling through water.

Check that suspension, too. It's important to make sure there'll be some cushion when the frame is near to the driving surface.

On occasion, the consumer stumbles across a model with an undercover. When opting for one, perform the necessary tests to ensure its easily removable.

Elizabeth Hurley

Be a smart shopper. It's easy to fall in love with a product that's out of the budget range. Stay grounded and within the means.

Kelly Brook

There're certainly some odd-shaped units out there, and they can be tempting.

I'd advise the shopper to look through the meshy smokescreens, though. Make sure it's all spelled out in black and white.

Kayleigh Pearson

Selecting a color is tricky, too. White can often times look beautiful, but it gets dirty quick, and requires near-constant washing.

Jennifer Walcott

Speaking of washing, make sure to use warm water and a non-abrasive soap.

And pull out all the strings stops to get a quality chamois.

Natache Peyre

Finally, a good wax job really brings out the sheen of the body. Highly recommended.

Laura Lee

When it comes to decor, a bra for your model's front end sometimes adds a nice contrast.

My advice, though, is to avoid those predictably placed decals. They can make a great body look, well, rather used.

Lisa Boyle

Following these simple steps ensures a great look in all conditions, be it a fine misting,

or a virtual soaking that just won't quit.

Veronica Ann Terrell

I'm also a big fan of sun/moon roofs. Any extra slits that provide optimum circulation on those sticky days are always a plus.

Unknown Broad

Don't take said roofs, however, for pseudo convertibles. There's a fine line between extra sunlight and straight taking the top off.

Sara Jean Underwood

Of course, the power under the hood can never be overlooked. As a buyer, it's important that dollars spent translates to (Editor's Note: I'm terribly sorry. I couldn't help it.) quality horsepower.

Sandra Shine

While inspecting the umph of the engine, make sure everything else under the hood looks clean. If necessary, take an extra set of eyes along.

Nikki Brooks

If all's good to go, expect some surprise when you punch it. When handled appropriately, a well-cared-for model should open right up when pushed.

Marzia Prince

Once the papers are signed, and the handshakes seal the deal, a proud owner should feel great about this acquisition.

I highly advise getting the ride out on the open road for a good breaking in as soon as possible.

Beforehand, of course, check all those fluids, and make sure everything's nice and oiled, good and greased.

As a driver, you'll want to feel comfortable on the long leg of any drive.

That's why it's important to make sure selected driving attire is one that guarantees comfort from start to finish.

Once you get comfortable behind the wheel, and loosen up a bit, I promise there will be smiles.

At the resting point, any driver should relax and unwind,

confident that the next excursion will have owners of other models turning their heads with admiration, and maybe even envy.

(Thanks, of course, to our Aces and Bullpen guys.)

The "Unknown Broad" looks an awful lot like Keeley Hazell
