Papers and Agents and Contracts. Oh, My!

The Chiefs have agreed to a seemingly pricey deal with former Falcons linebacker Demorrio Williams. I'd offer some stats on the guy, but, frankly, they're not that impressive. If you're really interested, have a look for yourself. I'm no wizard by any stretch, but, uh...you think maybe that's why they didn't retain him?

Christ. Come on, Herm. Do something smart. Just once. Anything. That's the answer to cutting Kendrell Bell and demoting Napoleon Harris? Give me a freaking break. I mean, how in the fuck do you log six and-a-half sacks in four seasons? I could get to quarterbacks in Atlanta's division more often than that. Anyhoo, at least there's some semi-humorous Denver Bronco news...

...in the form of some not-very-good visitors stopping by that manly sounding place called Dove Valley.

Kerry Colbert? That's a stretch of a maybe. Sammy Knight? Good luck with that one. I hear Greg Wesley's still on the board, too.

Enough about the bad news, though. Here's a video of the best tight end in NFL history talking about his myriad of philanthropic endeavors. And, here's Joe Posnanski offering high regard to the late founder of the Broncos, Bob Howsam.

It sure is nice to live in a city with no sports, award-winning journalists and courteous, giving people. I imagine it gets tiresome to nitpick and naysay and trash talk up in that thin air.

Oh, and, sweet tie clip, boss.

I'm with ya, sir.

I'm just not sure why you believe that Herm is making these decisions. This is not a surprising pickup. We've watched Carl make mistakes for most of our lives, man. He just can't surprise me anymore.

This is a new enough type of move to be Herm. Hell he's only been here a few years. Carl makes these calls. He'll blow the draft too. We'll never be able to evaluate Herm Edwards' player evaluation, becuase Carl will continue to exercise his "wisdom" until we FIRE him.

This will be exemplified once again in this year's free agent acquisitions and draft. Until Carl is gone, you can bark about Herm all you want, but he's Carl's bitch. Carl is where you confusion should be directed.

Go ahead and bust Herm's balls with coaching moves. That's downright easy. Just make sure to put the blame where it's due, man.

Fuck Carl. Fuck Herm.

Well. I'm glad to see that your return north of the border has found you safely right back on the crack pipe. You obviously haven't paid any attention to the last two years. Our free-agent acquistions and drafts under Herm have been markedly improved from years past.

But he's overshadowed his moves with some stupid ones, i.e. Justin Medlock.

Carl's only partially involved in the personnel decisions. They've all said that countless times over the years.

It's not easy to bust Herm's balls. It takes scrutiny to figure out what the good moves are and what the bad ones are. What's easy is for you to jump on the same boring-ass bandwagon that every other Kansas Citian is on, and call for Carl's head.

I've said it before: don't call for the man's head unless you have his replacement picked out.

Blame=where it is due.

What in the fuck is FSO?

Exactly ... Herm's moves haven't even been around long enough for any sort of valid evaluation. You have to build a body of data to do any real analysis.

What has been the consistent over time ... Carl. He and the owners shoulder the responsiblity of these decisions. If he chooses to let Herm make the call, and Herm makes a bad call then CARL made the bad call.

Carl's replacement? Marty, that's easy.

You're gettin' there,
