Let's Play 163: Bottom Seven

Of course Seth Smith got a big hit. I totally predicted it in my preview.

Following a Matsui sac fly ("He said sac."), Tulo soared another one to Brady Clark in center. Who's Mike Cameron? Clark played it from a routine out into the second triple of the inning. Holliday now bats with a chance to pass Ryan Howard for the NL RBI lead...

And he strikes out, but John Cougar reminds us that this is, still, our country. Those fucking terrorists and illegals can't take away our Chevrolets.

Entering the game is LaTroy Hawkins, which means San Diego automatically wins. Fuck.

Uh...doesn't the tally stop at the end of the regular season like the rest of the stats?

Nope. That's the whole "Let's Play 163" business. Hey, I don't make the rules.

I see. So you're telling me that these won't count as post-season stats even though the season's over?

I know this baseball thing is new in KC, but come on.

What's baseball? Oh, wait. No. I know that one. What's a rustoleum?

Hockey? Is that on Lifetime?

I didn't say it was proper, but those are the rules. This is a regular season game, with 40-man rosters, 4-man umpiring crews, and 8-dollar beers.

Rusty -- No. That'd be Versus. Same neighborhood as TBS as far as sports are concerned. I know it's tough to find a definition of sports in the desert and all, but that's why we have those InterWebs.

Who said anything about proper? I just imagined that regular-season stats were over and done with.
