And So It Ends...

The Cavaliers' title hopes, that is.

4:43 left in the 3d, Spurs up 52-44. I shouldn't take any real joy in this, but do anyway. Every column about the success of any Cleveland sports team contains the phrase "Cleveland rocks." Um, maybe it does, but seriously? Does it rock more than, say, San Diego? Add LeBron to Drew Carey and you get a recipe for suck.

So, you obnoxious Gaul, sink a few more of your "teardrops" (could he possibly be more French?), take home the series MVP and remind us all that the NBA is, at its heart, a league of dynasties. No one remembers the one-and-dones, they remember the three, four and five-timers. The Spurs are boring, but, like Darrell Royal said of his Texas football teams, winning isn't boring.

Spurs ain't no dynasty, brotha. You throw that term around a little loosely, eh?

Does that mean that the Broncos of the 90s are a dynasty as well?
